I'm Emma, Calligrapher and Lettering artist based in the UK.

I make art about the stuff that makes me happy, and motherhood. Which, if you're in it, you'll know are sometimes the same thing and sometimes very much not.

My work is rooted in real life. The phrases that stop you mid-scroll. The feeling of a first run after a long time away. The word your child said that you never want to forget. The ordinary moments that turn out to be the ones that matter.

And I love working with brands to evoke the same feeling. The writing on a perfume bottle that holds you in a moment. The event that keeps your customers rooted in you. The little embellishments that create huge impact and lasting memories of the experience. The little joys that stay with us.

I work in lettering, calligraphy, and hand-drawn design, across prints, collections, bespoke commissions, and live brand experiences. The medium changes. The intention doesn't. Every piece is made to carry something true, into your home, your hands, or your brand's story.

If something I've made has stopped you, that's the point.

Take it home.

The Why behind the art

I've always believed that the things we keep say something true about us.

Not the things we buy because they're pretty or on trend. The things we keep because they caught something we couldn't quite say ourselves. A phrase that named a feeling. A word that made us feel less alone. A piece that looked like exactly where we were in life when we found it.

That's what I make.

Art rooted in real moments, real feelings, and the kind of life that motherhood makes you pay attention to. Each collection starts somewhere specific, a run, a place, a word, a feeling, and grows into a world you can bring home.

Because the best art doesn't just decorate a wall. It carries something with it.

And that something stays.
